Gecko Galz - Angelic tag

Today I'm sharing another tag using pretty Gecko Galz papers and image. The Gecko Galz "Tag You're It" challenge is going on until December 30th. Don't forget to leave a comment on the Gecko Galz blog to be in the drawing for a daily prize. You also need to leave a comment on the design team member's blog who makes the tag each day.

Here is how I made my tag. I used a Ranger manila tag and covered it with Snowfall paper (from the Winter Wonderland paper pack). The angel image is from "Blue Christmas Icons". I fussy cut her and then put her on a white doily. The stars were punched from Provance paper (Vanity Fair paper pack). The word love is punched from Star Crossed paper (Star Crossed paper pack). I used a Teresa Collins punch for the word and a Stampin' Up punch for the stars.

Happy Holidays to all!

Gecko Galz Santa tags

Hi, everyone, hope your December has been wonderful so far! Today I'm sharing two tags I made using lots of Gecko Galz products.

For the first tag, I covered a large manila tag with "Holly Days" paper (from the Grandma's House paper pack). Next, I die cut a scalloped circle using "Snow on Cedars" paper (from the Winter Wonderland paper pack). I then sized and fussy cut Santa from the Santa Clause Lane image sheet. I layered these onto the tag, pop dotting Santa. To finish the tag, I added the "Dec. 25" piece (from my stash) and die cut red berry vines to tuck behind the blue circle.

My second tag was cut from the Santa Bingo card. I sized and printed the card, then cut the corners to give it a tag shape. Next, I added a small white doily (Martha Stewart Crafts). The wreath was fussy cut from the Altered Christmas Digital Collage Sheets, which is also where I got the Santa Bingo card. I added a small date piece from my stash. Finally, I sized and fussy cut Santa (from the Santa Claus Lane sheet).

Thanks for stopping by!

Gecko Galz December challenge

I have exciting news - I am back on the Gecko Galz design team!! After a year's break filled with babies (a great-nephew, great-niece and a grandson) and lots of babysitting, I have returned to my favorite team. Gecko Galz has such a wonderful variety of images and I love using them in my art work.

Gecko Galz has a customer challenge each month and the December challenge is called "Tag You're It!" - we'd love for you to play along!

There is only one rule, and that is you need to use at least ONE product from Gecko Galz!! It can be one of the free products, stamps, collage images, or digital papers!! It is up to you!! The winner will receive a $25 Gecko Galz Shopping Spree.

Here is the tag I created, with instructions and products used.

I covered a #8-size manila tag from Ranger with the "Sleigh Ride" paper (Grandma's House paper pack). I cut a piece to place behind the image, using the "Snow on Cedars" paper (Winter Wonderland paper pack). The boy (from the Old Fashioned Christmas images sheet) was sized in Photoshop and then fussy cut. I also sized and fussy cut the wings (Christmas Icons sheet). I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch snowflakes from the "Snow on Cedars" paper and then added a clear gem to the center of each one.

To finish the tag, I covered the back with "Snow on Cedars" paper. I now have a place to write a Christmas message before placing the tag on a gift.

I'm looking forward to sharing more Gecko Galz products with you in December and also in 2017!

Make My Monday and Tag Tuesday shares

I've been crafting quite a bit lately and want to share two finished projects. First up is a card for Make My Monday. The theme is "beach" and there is a color inspiration that goes along with it.

Next is a tag made for Tag Tuesday, where the theme this week is "Feminine". I used a Gecko Galz image, 7 Gypsies card for the tag and pink SU ribbon. I love how this turned out!!

Check out both blogs to see lots of great projects by my fellow dt members. And we would love to have you join us at Make My Monday with a beach project of your own!

Happy 4th of July

July 4th is one of my favorite holidays. I love the meaning behind the holiday, the colors, the flags and the fireworks. Today I am sharing a tag I made for Make My Monday. The theme is "Exploding".

I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday!!

I am back!

I'm back and blogging again! After a six month break to help babysit my great-niece and great-nephew (such darling twins!) I am ready to create again for Make My Monday and Tag Tuesday.

Make My Monday has changed a bit since I was gone. The most noticeable change is that each challenge will last for two weeks. Beginning today, the challenge is a photo inspiration.

Here is the photo inspiration.

And here is the tag I made.

I used the colors from the photo and also the circular shapes to make my tag. I began with a large manila tag and covered it with gelatos. The stars were stenciled with ink and the bathing beauty image is from Gecko Galz. I added stamping, sea images, a doily and the large chipboard circle.

We hope that you will join us at Make My Monday and enter this fun challenge!
