Vintage

Fellow design team member Fliss has chosen a wonderful theme for this week at Make My Monday! It's Vintage week and we hope you will join us with a project of your own. You can link your Vintage piece up here.

For my Vintage collage, I dug around in my stash and pulled out items that I've had forever! I began with the reproduction manila paper and layered a transparency on top. Next, I added a cabinet card woman, the pen, and the Special Event ticket. I chalked the woman's cheeks and hair to give her some color. Finally, I mounted the collage onto blue and black cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by! The design team has done lovely samples - please check them out at Make My Monday.

Away with the Fairies

Hi, Joan here with my tag for this week's theme at Tag Tuesday. I tried this and tried that - not happy with the results - until I spied this mushroom ephemera piece in a drawer. I cut the piece to tag size, inked the edges with brown chalk ink and punched a hole at the top.

I know that fairies like to dance in the moonlight inside a ring of mushrooms and so I had my tag's background!

I fussy cut the violet fairy image (from Gecko Galz) and pop dotted it to a large white flower. A simple tag, but I'm happy with the result.

Thanks for stopping by!

Earth Day

The theme this week at Make My Monday is "Earth Day".

To make my card, I began with a dark green cardstock base. Next, I added a piece of sprayed scrap paper. The main piece is packaging - I save everything! I stamped on the piece with a Tim Holtz stamp. The edges of the papers were inked with brown chalk ink. The bee and flower stickers have been in my stash forever. The "Hello Sunshine" banner is from Jillibean Soup.

We'd love to have you join us with a nature related project or one that is about environmental awareness. Check out the great samples by the design team and then use the linky at the bottom of the post to add your project.

April Showers

At Make My Monday this week, we are making cards for the theme of "April Showers". The design team has come up some great samples for you to view. We'd love to have you join us with an April Showers card or project of your own.

For my card, I used a Gecko Galz image, which I sized in Photoshop. The image is mounted onto plum cardstock and then onto a black card base. I pop dotted the quote (also Gecko Galz). Finally, I added a mint doily and Jolee's raindrops.

Moxxie's Spring Blog Hop can be found here. Please join in and you may win the entire Springtime line!

Hello! Today I'd like to share several design team projects with you. First up is my tag for Tag Tuesday. The theme this week is Zodiac. I did a mermaid surrounded by water, using a Gecko Galz image and lots of blue ink. My zodiac sign is Aquarius.

Next, my Springtime favors and mini cards are up on the Moxxie blog today. Below is one of the pillow boxes I made; please check out the rest of my projects, using the link above.

Last, but not least, a small collage I made for Make My Monday. The theme this week is inspired by a Spring picture of flowers and birds. The background of this piece is done with Gelatos.

Moxxie Muses Spring Blog Hop

Welcome to the Moxxie Muses Spring Blog Hop. I am so excited to see flowers blooming and hear the birds singing - I am definitely glad that Spring is here! For my blog hop project, I used Moxxie's beautiful Faith line to make a cross. I love the colors of this line and have been wanting to make a pretty cross to hang on my craft room wall.

I purchased two wooden crosses and then sanded and painted the sides with cream colored acrylic paint. Next, I covered the crosses with paper from the Faith line. I used the b side of Salvation for the larger cross and the b side of Pray for the small cross. Then I die cut flowers from the b side of the Faith cutouts paper and the purple side of the Pray paper. I also punched petals from pink cardstock. I glued the two crosses together and added the flowers to the small cross. The final touch was to pop dot the praying hands sticker to the flower center.

I really like my finished cross and hope you do too! You will see lots of wonderful Spring projects on our blog hop. Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!
