Just a Note....

Today I have a card up on the Just Imagine/Kreaxions blog. It's my last post for Kreaxions - the term is up and I've decided to step down from the team.

I've loved using the Kreaxions products and want to share a Spring card I made. This is the front of the card.

And here is the inside of the card.

Please check out the Just Imagine blog here for directions on how I made the card. Have a happy day!!

Make My Monday

Hello! As I'm sitting here writing this post, the sun is out. The temperature is in the single digits (below with the wind chill) but it's soooo nice to see sunshine!

The theme this week at Make My Monday is "Tags". We hope you will join us with a tag or tag related project of your own.

My card is on a red cardstock base (size 5.5" x 4") with Basic Grey paper for the brown background. Then I added a small piece of the red cardstock and arranged three white tags onto that. I stamped the angel with brown ink, centering it on the tags.

Have a wonderful Monday!!

Flower Fairy

Today I want to share a Flower Fairy that I made for this week's theme at Make My Monday. We were to use our two favorite colors - I love blue and orange, so my little fairy was created in those colors.

The kit that I used to make this fairy is from Retro Cafe Art. The fairy I used is STYLE 1. She was a lot of fun to make! First I painted her body with Martha Stewart's Satin Acrylic paint (color - Pond). Then I stamped text onto her body. Next, I put orange paper in the niche and added a blue and orange heart. I punched a scalloped circle from the same floral paper, cut it in half, inked the edges with brown chalk ink and then attached these over the existing wings. The face I used was one from a package of doll heads. I painted her crown yellow and then added blue and orange gems.

Hearts & Flowers and The Blues too!!

Moxxie's Love Blog Hop & Challenge is here.

This week our theme at Make My Monday is Valentine. We'd love for you to join us and link up a Valentine project of your own.

My card is made with polka dotted paper from my stash and the adorable Gecko Galz image (from the Valentine Pierrots set). I also added a die cut heart and the xo letters.

I'm so excited - I've been invited to join Tag Tuesday! This is a group that I have wanted to be in for quite some time. I love making tags so this is right up my alley! The theme for last week was "The Blues" and here is my tag.

Have a wonderful day!

Moxxie's February Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Moxxie's February Blog Hop! The theme for this hop is Love. The Moxxie Muses have created wonderful projects for you to enjoy. You will be able to hop to each Muse's blog to see all the details about their projects.

Today I have five mini Valentine cards to share with you. These cards are made with the Springtime and Tiny Dancer lines. I think it's nice to include a card in a lunchbox, briefcase, by a dinner plate - anywhere you want to leave a little "love note".

The first card is 4" x 4". It is made with a pink cardstock base and the b side of the Tiny Dancer Cutouts paper for the background. The word LOVE is cut from a barcode strip. I die cut the two hearts - the larger one from Tiny Dancer and the smaller one from Springtime. The hearts were pop dotted together.

The second card is also 4" x 4". It has a white cardstock base with the b side of the Born to Dance paper for the background. I used a heart punch and cut seven hearts from the b side of the Springtime Take Flight paper. I pop dotted the hearts to form a flower shape and added a rhinestone in the middle.

The last cards are 3" x 3" made in a clean and simple style. The hearts and backgrounds are Moxxie papers and the embellishments are from my stash.

Here are the links for the hop - enjoy!

Hearts & Flowers and Steampunk

Today I have three design team projects to share, for three different teams. First up is my card for the "Hearts and Flowers" theme at Make My Monday.

Next, my card for the February Design Team reveal at Just Imagine Crafts. I used Punch #905 to create the heart corners and Punch 607 for the fish. I cut the circle out using their fabulous Circle Cutter. The paper I used for the circle reminded me of bubbles! I added blue chalk and stamped green seaweed. The word love is from Heidi Swapp and the word strip is from Jillibean Soup.

Exciting news at Gecko Galz this month!! The Industrial Age digital stamp set is featured in the February issue of Quick Cards Made Easy magazine!

Some of the Gecko Galz design team members made samples using the stamps. Check out the GG blog to see them. My sample is below along with a list of products I used.

I began with image #21 from the Industrial Age stamps. I printed it onto Snow on Cedars paper (from Winter Wonderland papers). This was then backed onto Star Crossed paper (from Star Crossed papers). I colored the image with chalks and added other embellishments. The gears were cut from a Just Imagine Crafts die.

If you love Steampunk, you will definitely want these stamps!
