Happy Camper journal

Up on the Moxxie blog today is a journal I made by covering a composition book. I like to have lots of journals to write in and decorating the front just makes them more appealing!

The journal uses the Happy Camper collection by Moxxie. Directions are on the Moxxie blog, along with a bookmark I made. Please check out my post - I'd love a comment, either here or at Moxxie.

Thanks for stopping by!

Butterflies!

The theme this week at Make My Monday is butterflies. I happen to love butterflies, especially the gorgeous Monarchs that we see in the late summer and early fall.

I made a CAS card this week. I cut a white cardstock base to 4.25" x 5.25". Then I stamped the butterfly (Stampin' Up image) with brown ink, gave it a swipe with Spiced Marmalade distress stain and added the hello sticker from Jillibean Soup.

Create a butterfly project (card, tag, scrapbook page, etc.) and join us at Make My Monday. If you're picked as one of the top three entries, you will get a badge to put on your blog.

Summer Time Fun Moxxie Blog Hop

Hello!
Welcome to the Summer time fun Moxxie blog hop!

"I'm so glad to have you visit my blog today! I am sharing a scrapbook page I made, using the Moxxie "Happy Camper" collection. I love the browns and greens in the Happy Camper line - they have such a great outdoors feeling! I used papers, stickers and the die cut sign (Gone) on my page. I needed a spot for the word Fishin' so I flipped the Gone sign, traced it onto the kraft paper and added the word with letter stickers from Paws 'n Claws. I also stamped some fish, gave them a quick spritz of gold mist, fussy cut and pop dotted them to the fishing pole and the page. Finally, I added some twine."

"Please enjoy our Moxxie blog hop and be sure to visit the blogs of my fellow design team members for great Summer Time Fun inspiration! Joan"

Today our talented designers are going to show you fun summer projects using many different lines. So let's hop right to it shall we? Here is the list of blogs to check out:

Cancun 2010

This week, the theme at Make My Monday is Vacation/Holiday. I decided to make a scrapbook page about my great-nephew, Rocco, on vacation in Cancun. All the papers and embellishments I used are from Fancy Pants. It's from the "Nautical" collection. The white foam letters and numbers are Thickers.

Please join us at Make My Monday, check out what the design team has done and then share your vacation cards, tags or layouts. We'd love to see them!

End of term

The theme at Make My Monday this week is "End of Term". Since this site is based in the UK, they are just finishing up their school year, while most children in the United States have already been on summer break. So for this week, if you'd like to enter, we'd like you to make a thank you card for a teacher, graduation card or teacher appreciation gift.

Check out what the design team has made at Make My Monday. If you enter, you have a chance to be one of our top 3 winners!

My card is a thank you for a teacher. I used a blue cardstock base, layered on a gray honeycomb paper with inked edges and then added three strips of washi tape and stickers. Simple, quick, but I like it!! I got the stickers at JoAnn Fabrics. The line is called "Life's Little Occasions" by K&Co and there are lots of different subjects to choose from. Everything else I used was from my stash.

Little Gardener

This scrapbook layout was up on the Moxxie blog yesterday. It's a page about my great-nephew, Milo. He is a typical boy, loving to dig in dirt and helping his dad in the garden.

For this page, I used Moxxie's "Quite Contrary" collection. I love the colors and patterns of these papers!! All of these papers and stickers are available for purchase at scrapbook.com.

Mail Art

Today's theme at Make My Monday is Mail Art. I love decorating envelopes, but this time I did something different. I found a pack of reproduction vintage postcard tags at Hobby Lobby and decorated one for this challenge.

I began by spraying the postcard with Dylusions spray inks and then adding a spritz of Heidi Swapp gold spray ink. Once the card was dry, I added the transparent seaweed and the small seahorse. The fish and sand dollar were pop dotted to the card. The sea animals were from K & Co.

Join us at Make My Monday with some mail art that you've made!

Project Life - Wedding

I am working on an album of my daughter's wedding. The album is going to have a mixture of 8.5" x 11" sized pages, 12" x 12" pages and Project Life pocket pages.

The "First Dance" page that I made for The Robin's Nest design team will be in the album. I also used that same photo in this pocket page, because it's a favorite of mine.

I just bought some lovely Pretty Little Studio items that were ideal for this page! Megan's colors were pink and gray and the PLS products were the "perfect pink" color.

Pretty Little Studio supplies used are: Strawberry Flair Buttons, Cherry Vanilla Journaling Cards, Strawberry Creme Journaling Cards (all from the Neapolitan Collection). The card with the three little hearts is from the Valentine Journaling Cards set. The large rose die cut is also from PLS. The small rose heart was punched from the Strawberry Pattern Paper. The gold star sequins are PLS.

Other supplies: pink & gray sequins (Lawn Fawn), wood veneer tag (Studio Calico), word banner, pink doily, gray paper scallop (from my stash).

Today is my first post on The Robin's Nest! I am sharing a wedding layout, done with the Wedding (in love) Collection. I'm giving you just a sneak peek - check out the Robin's Nest blog to see my complete page. The wedding collection has beautiful papers and the tear drops are such fun!
